Tentative Itinerary
DAY 1 Arrival and Transfer to Kandy

Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be awaited by a T2 Travels representative, ready to meet and greet you. Then we will start on our way to Kandy. Our first stop will be at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Founded as a sanctuary for injured and lost wild elephant calves, today it also operates a successful breeding program of these majestic animals. We can watch them bathing on the Maha Oya River. On our way, we will also visit the Spice and Herbal Garden. Place where you can learn about the history and process of production of many spices Sri Lanka trades since ancient times with the rest of the world. Arriving in Kandy we will attend the cultural heritage show, Kandyan Dance Show. This show consists of the dance routines originating in religious rituals and as an art form, which developed over centuries in the central plains of Sri Lanka. The show starts at 4 pm. After the show, we will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa. This temple is one of the holiest Buddhist places in Sri Lanka and home to the sacred relic of Buddha’s tooth. If the time allows it, we will also visit the Gem Museum, traditional Wood Carving Factory, and a Batik cloth factory.A direct trip from Bandaranaike International Airport to Kandy typically takes 3 hours and 20 minutes, and you will stay overnight at hotel .

DAY 2 Kandy To Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, we will embark on the trip to Nuwara Eliya. The first stop on our way will be in Peradeniya, where the Royal Botanic Garden is located. These gardens are home to more than 4,000 plant species, including all of endemic to the island, and the world-famous collection of orchids. Continuing on our way we will visit the Tea Factory, where on a guided tour you can learn about the history of some of the best tea in the world, a product Sri Lanka is famous for since the colonial times. Next, we will visit Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. This temple is dedicated to Hanuman, a Hindu deity and one of the central characters of epic Ramayana. Afterward, we will visit the Ramboda Ella, a beautiful tiered waterfall where water tumbles from 109 meters of height.Located high in the central plains Nuwara Eliya is a place where you can find vegetables and fruits more often associated with continental Europe. So, we will visit the Strawberry Farm, where you can taste exquisitely fragrant fruits and fruit products.After we arrive in Nuwara Eliya, you can spend the afternoon in leisure on Lake Gregory, an artificial lake that is a popular leisure spot since the colonial time. Here you can enjoy trout fishing, boat rides, or jet skiing. A direct trip from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya typically takes 2 hours and 10 minutes, and you will stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 3 Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

We will start our day early at 5 am and head for Bentota. Breakfast is provided in the form of a takeaway in the Horton Plains National Park.The first stop we will make is at the Horton Plains National Park. This nature reserve of the immense level of biodiversity is one of the most popular trekking spots. We will visit one of its most stunning features, the World’s End. This sheer cliff is around 1,200 meters high, offering a bewitching view of the valley below, a view which is obscured most of the time by mists that settle in the morning. Continuing on our way, we will visit the Seetha Aman Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the princess Sitha, and probably the only such in the world. Just above it is a wooded area known as Ashok Vatika, where according to legend and epic Ramayana, Lord Hanuman presented proof of his identity to princess Sitha. On our next stop, we will see the St. Clair’s Falls, also known as the Little Niagara of Sri Lanka, and Devon Falls often called the Veil of the Valley.Afterward, we will reach the town of Kitulgala, where we will embark on the White Water Rafting, and enjoy the thrilling ride on Kelani River which flows through one of the last virgin rain forests in Sri Lanka.A direct trip from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota typically takes 4 hours and 45 minutes, and you will stay overnight at hotel .

DAY 4 Bentota to Negombo

After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will start on our way to Negombo, via Colombo. On our way, we will stop at Kosgoda where we will embark on a one-hour River Boat Safari. This boat ride will take us through the marshy mangrove forest on the banks of Madu Ganga River. A direct trip from Bentota to Colombo typically takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. In the afternoon, we will have a sightseeing tour of Colombo, and visit the Old Fort area, the National Museum of Sri Lanka, Streets of Pettah neighborhood, Gangaramaya Temple, Beira Lake, Independence Memorial Hall, and Galle Face Green.A direct trip from Colombo to Negombo typically takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, and you will stay overnight at hotel .

DAY 5 Departure

Early morning check out from the hotel in Negombo, we will head to Bandaranaike International Airport. A direct trip from Negombo to Bandaranaike International Airport typically takes 20 minutes.
