Metekhi church (Vth century) is the main sightseeing point. Church is located on a mountain from which you overlook new constructions such as Bridge of Peace and Rike Park and at the same time, that’s a best view on ancient masterpieces – the statue of Mother of Georgia and Narikala fortress(IV-XIV) center of old ,, Caravanserais’’ known as silk road trading center in Tbilisi. We will finish our tour around Sulfur bath area and definitely take an amazing photos in front of Pheasant and Falcon statue, where our Guide reminds you all story about foundation of Tbilisi.
After your morning breakfast, the tour starts with your first destination of your journey is Ananuri( XVI-XVIII) -a castle complex located on a bank of Zhinvali Lake (Reservoir) with it’s majestic views and great photoshoot spots. Going up to the mountains through the military highway will take you to the most famous ski resort located on a Greater Caucasus Mountain Range – Gudauri and it’s main sight – Friendship Monument between Russian and Georgians. Our last and main destination Kazbegi is known for Gergeti Trinity Church (XIVth century) situated near village Gergeti at an elevation of 2170 meters with a great view over the 2nd highest peak Mkinvartsveri (so called Kazbegi peak) 5054m above sea level.
